Longterm NCS Transition Position - Agency Collaboration Job

Location:  Marshfield, MA, 02050

Start Date:  November 15th, 2024

Children's Ages:  2 months

Compensation:  $33-$37+ an hour DOE

Schedule:  Monday-Friday 10:00am-6:00pm

Description:  A professional family in Marshfield, MA, is seeking an experienced, career-focused newborn care specialist to provide nurturing, reliable, and proactive care for their newborn son with the desire to ideally stay on and transition to a long term nanny/family assistant. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Childcare:

    • Engage in age-appropriate, developmental activities (tummy time, reading, etc.).

    • Maintain a regular feeding and changing routine, transitioning to bottle/breastfeeding combo.

    • Ensure the nursery and play areas are organized, sanitized, and stocked with essentials.

  2. Household Support:

    • Prepare nutritious meals for the family, especially once baby begins eating solids.

    • Manage household laundry, including folding and organizing family clothing and linens.

    • Maintain a tidy home environment, handling light cleaning tasks, especially in the kitchen.

    • Run errands, including grocery shopping and replenishing household supplies.

    • Monitor household supplies and notify parents when restocking is needed.

    • Assist with light home organization projects and preparations for occasional guests.

    • Track and manage family appointments and household deliveries as needed.

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

  • Experienced in Newborn Care: Proven hands-on experience with newborns, with a solid understanding of evidence-based childcare techniques.

  • Organized and Proactive: Takes initiative in household and childcare responsibilities, communicates needs clearly, and is dependable.

  • Supportive of Parenting Style: Respects the family’s preferences, offering guidance while adapting to their unique style.

  • Professional and Kind: Able to interact confidently and respectful with visitors, while maintaining household harmony.

  • Flexible: Able to balance childcare with household responsibilities, especially during the first five months of parental leave.

Requirements:

  • First Aid/CPR Certification 

  • Non- smoker

  • At least 21 years old

  • Minimum of 3 years of Nanny/Family Assistant experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of Newborn experience 

  • Willing to submit a background check & motor vehicle report

  • Reliable transportation 

  • Able to make at least a year commitment

  • Okay with cats
