This is a wonderful first-time family expecting their baby in February and looking for an experienced Newborn Care Specialist who is down-to-earth, calm, and knowledgeable. They are an educated family who values evidence-based information and appreciate understanding the โwhyโ behind recommendations. They are not interested in overly alternative or non-traditional approaches and would like a professional who can provide thoughtful education and guidance as they transition into parenthood. Their home is quiet, peaceful, and cozy, with an emphasis on keeping the environment uncluttered, and there are stairs in the home. They are seeking overnight support for one month. The NCS will have a nearby guest room and will rest with a baby monitor while the baby is sleeping. The family prefers maintaining a written log rather than using an app. They would also value an NCS who is knowledgeable about recognizing signs of postpartum mood disorders, as there is a family history, and who can help them establish a thoughtful plan for recognizing and appropriately discussing any concerns with either parent.
