This family is seeking an experienced Postpartum Doula to provide compassionate, knowledgeable support for both baby and Mom during the early postpartum period.
As first-time parents, they highly value sleep and are looking for a calm, dependable professional who can provide expert overnight newborn care while also supporting Momโs physical recovery and overall well-being. Mom also strongly values and would like a doula with a background in holistic postpartum healing, nutrition, and traditional postpartum practices, including Ayurvedic postpartum care, belly binding, nourishing postpartum meals, and nutrition resources.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in both newborn and maternal postpartum care and be able to provide gentle, hands-on support that allows Mom to rest, recover, and feel cared for. The family would especially appreciate someone who can share knowledgeable resources and practical guidance while respecting the familyโs individual preferences, traditions, and approach to postpartum recovery.
The caregiver will serve as an extra set of hands overnight, allowing the parents to maximize their rest while knowing their baby is receiving attentive, knowledgeable care. The household is quiet, clean, and organized, and they are looking for someone who will seamlessly support that environment. The caregiver will have access to a nearby bedroom for rest with a baby monitor while on shift.
The family maintains a strict illness policy and asks that caregivers not come to work with any symptoms, even if they believe symptoms are related to allergies. Because Mom is due around Thanksgiving, candidates who are planning significant holiday travel during this time may not be the best fit for this position.
