NCS1257 - Newborn Care Specialist/Postpartum Doula needed in Cave Creek, AZ 85331

This family is seeking an experienced overnight Newborn Care Specialist who is ideally cross-trained as a Postpartum Doula to provide compassionate, knowledgeable support during the early postpartum period. As first-time parents, they highly value sleep and are looking for a calm, dependable professional who can offer both hands-on newborn care and guidance as they navigate life with a new baby. The family is hoping to learn from the person they hire and would appreciate someone well educated in newborn and postpartum care, including swaddling techniques, feeding routines, breastfeeding support, and overall newborn education. Mom also has an interest in holistic postpartum recovery, including warm postpartum meals and familiarity with Chinese medicine traditions related to postpartum healing. The household is quiet, clean, and organized, and they are looking for someone who will seamlessly support that environment while serving as an extra set of hands overnight. The caregiver will have access to a nearby bedroom for rest with a baby monitor while on shift. This family maintains a very strict illness policy and asks that caregivers not come in with any symptoms, even if believed to be allergies. Because Mom is due around Thanksgiving, candidates planning significant holiday travel during that time may not be the best fit for this position.

The details:

  • Client Location: Cave Creek, AZ cross streets are Dynamite and Tatum

  • Schedule: 4 nights a week with 10 hour shifts. Flexibility may be needed if they would like more hours/nights.ย 

  • Due Date: November 19, 2026

  • Contract Length: 6 weeks (through the end of the year) with option to extend. This family would appreciate your flexibility if they may need additional nights towards the beginning of the contract.

  • Compensation: $35-50/hr depending on your experience and education.ย 

  • Employee / Contractor Contract: Paid to your business; open to both IC or for the right fit W-2

  • Accommodations: No

  • Pets: one small dog Charles, 11 year old Cavachonย

  • Newborn Care Specialist must have a Driver's License. An essential function of the caregiver role is keeping the baby safe at all times.
