A Central Phoenix family is welcoming twins this spring and is seeking experienced overnight support as they prepare to grow their family. They also have a 22-month-old at home, though the overnight caregiver will be responsible for the newborn twins only. The family lives in a quiet, ranch-style home and values a collaborative, team-oriented approach with mom during the night hours.

The babies will be bottle-fed, as mom plans to pump and may also supplement with formula. The NCS will be responsible for preparing and warming bottles, practicing paced feeding, and supporting mom by waking her on a pumping schedule, as well as properly storing and labeling expressed milk. The family is open to guidance in helping the twins move toward a shared schedule, while also feeling confident in what worked well with their first child.

Overnight responsibilities will include full care of both newborn twins, including feeding, burping, diapering, swaddling, and soothing, as well as preparing bottles in advance to ensure smooth overnight feedings. The NCS will observe for any health concerns and communicate those with the parents as needed. Additional duties include baby laundry, washing and sanitizing bottles, spot treating stained items, organizing baby items, and helping ensure the parents feel set up for success. A brief morning handoff summary will be provided, outlining each baby’s feeds, diapers, sleep windows, and any notable observations.

The overnight caregiver will rest either in a nearby guest bedroom with a baby monitor or in the room with the babies, and this will be finalized prior to the start date. The family also has some daytime support from relatives, creating a well rounded support system.
