They are seeking a calm, encouraging, and collaborative Newborn Care Specialist to support them during this exciting and meaningful transition into parenthood.
Although the family’s primary home is in Boston, the role will require availability in April to travel to Minnesota, where the surrogate is located, to assist with the baby’s birth and return home. The anticipated duration of care is approximately two to four months, with the potential to extend depending on the family’s needs and fit.
While the family has a strong and supportive network of close friends, they do not have nearby family, making the right match for this role especially important. They are looking for a Newborn Care Specialist who brings not only expertise, but also warmth, emotional intelligence, and a steady presence.
The mother is hands-on and deeply engaged. She is seeking guidance, reassurance, and partnership—not someone to “take over.” She values a caregiver who helps her find her own way, offering support and options rather than directives. Although overnight care is a
core component of the role, the mother may choose at times to care for the baby herself or to rest, depending on how she is feeling.
The father is a busy CEO but plans to be very present, spending significant time at home bonding with and caring for their son alongside the Newborn Care Specialist.
The family describes themselves as warm, respectful, and appreciative, and they are intentional about creating a welcoming environment. They do not have a “you work for us” mindset; instead, they value collaboration, mutual respect, and clear professional boundaries. They want their caregiver to feel comfortable and supported in their home while maintaining professionalism.
Some travel may be required beyond the initial Minnesota trip, including occasional time on the family’s boat, so comfort being on the water is important.
